Our love of Labrador Retrievers began at an early age with Justin's love of waterfowl hunting. Justin always had a Lab growing up as his family enjoyed hunting and having a smart, reliable Retriever was a necessity.
In 2008, Justin and Emily purchased their first Lab puppy together, Lizzy. Justin trained Lizzy himself and she went on every single dove, duck and goose hunt with Justin. She even went on a few deer shed hunts with minimal training and impressed us with her talent. She was one of those 'one of a kind' dogs, and was also a great family pet. Lizzy retired from hunting when she was about 10 years old and became a full time house dog that was in charge of keeping us in line. She welcomed our two children home when they were born. She also was the adopted "mother" of our other dogs when we brought them home as puppies. Every person and dog in our family loved Lizzy. She passed away at the age of 13 in 2021.
In 2012, we purchased Avery as a puppy. Avery was our first dog that when we purchased that we really began studying pedigrees. We lucked into finding a local family that trained and ran hunt tests that had a litter. Avery comes from Chopper lines and was a real firebreather in her prime. Her drive and intelligence made hunting with her complete joy, and left us impressed countless times after retrieving that impossible duck or goose. It was Avery that inspired us to learn more about pedigrees and had us carefully researching pedigrees on our future pups.
Since Avery, we have brought home and trained five additional Labs. All of our dogs are raised in our home when they are puppies for socialization, basic obedience and crate training. We take our dogs and waterfowl hunting seriously and both are a big part of our family. Our children are a part of the daily care and training of our dogs. Our reward for our hard work is watching our dogs succeed when competing on the field in hunt test events and waterfowl hunting.
We plan to produce a few select litters each year. Our goal is to provide people with highly intelligent and trainable Labrador Retrievers that are versatile to handle any hunting situation or competition event, and also be a member of your family.
